Please ensure installation instructions are followed (printed on the back of each box). Any breach of instructions may cause performance issues and will void the product warranty.
-EXPANSION: minimum 6mm perimeter gap is required. Areas that are exposed to direct sunlight and temperatures over 40°C or subject to significant temperature fluctuations, the expansion joint should be increased to at least 10mm.
-FLOOR PREP: less than 5mm over 3m.
- SKIRTINGS must not be siliconed as this will restrict movement causing possible failure. For wet areas such as Kitchens, Laundries and WC?s follow Alternative Solution installation methods available on our website.
- BATHROOMS: Whilst Neptune SPC is a completely waterproof product and globally used in wet areas, The Tile Depot advise against using in permanently wet areas such as bathrooms due to the risks associated with moisture and flooding.
- MOISTURE BARRIER: We strongly recommend the use of a vapor barrier regardless of the substrate, subfloor moisture can lead to installation failure, alkali salt build up damage to joints and a potential mould source.
PLEASE READ: Floor to ceiling windows coupled with the New Zealand sun can create floor surface temperatures over 70°C. Neptune flooring is manufactured to be stable in low and high temperatures (0-50°C). However, your floor should be protected from extreme temperatures and strong direct sunlight by the use of interior temperature and humidity control (recommended temperatures 10 - 30°C), window tinting, awnings and/or curtains/ blinds. Dramatic temperature changes and/or extreme humidity can cause joins to lip/gap and prolonged direct sunlight may cause fading.

Note: Wastage is not an exact science. Some projects require more than others depending on how the tiles are laid out in each room and how much cutting is required. We recommend a minimum of 10% wastage to be included. Larger tiles often require more wastage. Due to availability you should ensure you have enough to keep spares for future requirements, we cannot guarantee more stock will be available or that future shipments will be a similar batch tone, size or colour.
We highly recommend you purchase samples before you place a final order. Different computer screen settings can affect the appearance of the tiles based on screen resolution. Batch manufactured tiles will vary with every shipment
