PEI: ?PEI rating is a measurement of the tiles resistance to abrasion i.e. how much wear and tear the tile can handle It is measured on a scale from 1 to 5 which fit into the following categories: PEI 0 & 1 WALL TILES ONLY PEI 2 LIGHT TRAFFIC I.E BATHROOM FLOORS PEI 3 MOST RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS PEI 4 LIGHT COMMERCIAL PEI 5 HEAVY COMMERCIAL AND INTENSE TRAFFIC Unfortunately not all factories test their products. Antislip Rating: ?There are two main slip testing methods for tiles adhered to in NZ. Firstly the ramp test is a scale from R9 ? R13. The higher the number the higher the resistance to slip.
